Ben Yeager

Ben holds degrees from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and the MFA program in creative writing at the University of Montana, where he taught composition classes and fiction workshops. He’s also a graduate of the Taft School in Watertown, CT, and of Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. He has worked for literary agencies and small publications, including Outside Magazine, a local newspaper in Alaska, and Yale Medicine Magazine. He is a fiction editor at the literary journal Wrath-Bearing Tree.

Ben began his consulting career helping a broad range of students, whether applying for impacted STEM majors or liberal arts programs, with their college essays, and joined Dunbar in 2024. He enjoys the water and works as an ocean lifeguard in the summer. He lives in New York City.
