The depth and synergy of our diverse consulting team is a key part of what makes Dunbar different and enables us to provide a superior level of service.
Holly Brown works with families helping them navigate the secondary school and boarding school admissions processes. Holly grew up in Greenwich, CT where she attended Greenwich Academy. Holly earned a B.A. in Psychology with a focus on Child Development from Lake Forest College. Upon graduation, Holly pursued a career in education holding teaching positions at St. David’s School in New York City and Mt. Tamalpais School in Mill Valley, CA. Additionally, she was one of the founding members of The St. Matthew’s School in Bedford, NY.
MoreNicole advises families throughout the United States with students seeking admission to college. She graduated with honors from Northwestern University with a major in Communication Studies and a Certificate with Distinction from UCLA’s College Counseling Program.
Nicole counsels students with a vast range of interests and abilities and enjoys inspiring and motivating her clients to reach their academic and personal goals in order to position them for success during the college admissions process.

Dave counsels both American and international students bound for college. Dave grew up in New Canaan, Connecticut, and is a graduate of The Frederick Gunn School and Hobart College. Prior to joining Dunbar, Dave spent over 30 years in advertising and media, most recently with Fox and Time, Inc. Dave’s considerable experience working as a youth soccer and youth ice hockey coach, his long-standing interest in higher education, as well as his direct experience working with Dunbar with his three children, have led to his interest in helping high school students with their college admission process.

Prior to joining Dunbar, Lisa spent several years in the financial services industry; her interest in college admissions and guiding families through the process led her to Dunbar in 2004. Lisa began guiding students in 2009 and has worked with over 200 families, both domestic and international. Lisa has attended NACAC, NEACAC and IECA conferences and has visited well over 100 college campuses.
MoreAllison Slater Tate advises high school students and their families to help them find college homes where they will thrive and grow. She joined Dunbar after establishing a career as a professional freelance writer covering parenting, education, and college admissions for national outlets including NBC News, the TODAY Show, the Washington Post, Brain, Child Magazine, Grown & Flown, and YourTeen Magazine.
MoreCaroline Brokaw Tucker advises families of students bound for college (both first years and transfers) and, in some cases, graduate school, particularly business and law programs. She graduated in 1985 from Princeton University with a major in Comparative Literature, specifically modern French and German poetry. She also holds an MBA from Columbia Business School with a double concentration in Marketing and Management.
MoreSarah White helps students and families make sense of—and ideally enjoy–the college admissions journey. She received a BA in Psychology from Skidmore College in 1992 and later completed a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from The State University of New York at Albany. Sarah received certification as an Independent Educational Consultant from UC Irvine. She is a member of NACAC and absolutely loves visiting college campuses and keeping up with what makes each distinct.
